Smash TV joystick dilemma

I want to make a franken panel all in one, where you could play 2 player Smash TV, now i have 2x Seimitsu LS-32 and 2x ultrastik 360. What would be best for each player to make it fair and playable for other games:
1xLS32 1x360 for each player or 2x LS32 and 2x360?
What y'all think (and please spare me how horrible idea that is, disinterested)

are you setting your cp up for 4 player, in case you'd likely have the two 360s in the middle as player 1 and 2 and the seimitsus to the sides as playeras 3 and 4?

that'd probably be the most fair

I'm just wondering if the rules on angled joysticks still apply if you angled the smashTV players, but you are probably having the sticks in a line?

you know the joke: "...well I wouldn't start from here",  I would go for 4x 8way sticks, and a separate 4way.

On forums jimmer speaks for himself as a Defender fan, not as proprietor of www.jbgaming.co.uk  << Is that advertising or disclosure ? or both ?

I'd keep matching sticks for each player, and then just decide between your opponent and yourself which player to be, before starting the game. I definitely wouldn't mix-and-match the sticks.

Sell one set and buy 2 others that match the set you kept or keep them for another build later (whichever set you like the feel of better) so that you have 4 matching sticks -- Nothing worse than trying to play a game designed for 2 8-way joysticks per player with sticks that operate differently so that you can not get the angles\actions right on both moving and shooting and having two different sets doesn't make it seem like a fair competition between the players.

Thx for the opinion, but what when I want to play let's say Tekken against 2nd player, then I end up with uneven joysticks on each player?

I'm trying to keep it versatile for multitude of games, so if I put 4 same joysticks I think I'm limiting myself, and I really like LS32 for shooters, on the other hand I'm thinking do I really need perfect TV Smash experience or just ok one?

Honest advice - you seem to want a frankenpanel, so you won't be happy with any solutions. JDFan and Big10p gave you solid advice, and I completely concur with them.

Decide what you want to panel to do/be, and go from there. Make a 4 stick control panel with matching sticks for dual stick games, or make a LS32 only panel for SHMUPs. That's what I'd do. Otherwise, you'll just have a hodgepodge panel that can do a lot, but not all of it very well.

I've updated my earlier post to reflect that dual analog stick games like Cyber Sled and T-Mek are here with the other analog stick games.

Added the following to the dual-stick digital and analog games lists:

Virtual On, which uses two 8-way trigger sticks (2 buttons). Note that it is a 3D Sega Model 2 game.

If you use one LS32 and one 360 per user then you have the luxury of using the LS32 for shmups or fighters and the 360 for games that use 49-way/analog. When playing dual stick games they might not feel 100% the same, but I guess that depends on how sensitive you are to that sort of thing.

the 360 is a great stick because of its versatility. A lot of people don't like them for certain things as they don't feel 100% like the arcade version of <insert stick here> stick. I happen to have a bunch of 49-way sticks, so I'm using those in my build for a two-player dual-stick control panel. But, if I didn't have those I might well have gone with 4 360s. I used one for the mini-cabinet and I don't mind/enjoy the feel, especially with the octagon restrictor.

Just my 2 cents.

Thank you for your 2 cents, I have already made up my mind towards having 1xls and 1x360 for each player, after reading previous comments I came to a conclusion that I rather have not perfect robotron/smash tv experience, than limit myself to amount of games playable in general. That's why I posted another thread about distances from joysticks to push buttons, just wanted to know if I can have both joysticks use same push buttons, but "purists" went coo-coo with their rhetorics.
