is my i-pac 2 broken ?
« on: August 14, 2014, 02:08:25 pm »
hi i bought an i-pac 2 and connected all player 1 inputs to it
but when i plugged it into a computer,
the light on my ipac flashes for like 5 or so seconds then goes off
(doesn't stay constant)
and besides that, the inputs on the computer are all off ... one is space, the other is alt... up is left... and so on...
so i used a software that is called winIpac to correct the keys
but the light is still off
and every minute or soo.. my computer decides.. it's time to go crazy, and smashes a random button (mostly "k" though from some reson but sometimes others too !)
and the only way i can release it is by pressing a button on my mame...

does anybody know how to fix it ?
i'm .. a bit lost here... and going crazy . . .

 :( :( :(

It is possible that it's broken. I have no idea why it would start inputting random keys like that. You should email Andy (andy@ultimarc.com) and ask him about it. If it really is broken, he is good with replacing it if it is still under warranty

The number of LED flashes shows you which switch is wired incorrectly.  You probably have something wired incorrectly or a ground isn't correct.  Double check all the grounds and count the number of flashes to make sure you count them correctly... it flashes very quickly.
