Can you identify this arcade cabinet?
« on: July 30, 2014, 01:43:30 pm »
Hello!  Thanks for taking the time to read!   :)

I'm very curious if anyone can identify the cabinet pictured at the link below.  It's an SNK MVS Neo Geo game, but I don't think the cabinet began life that way.  A glance at other MVS cabinets using Google Image Search seems to confirm this because no other MVS cabinets look exactly like it.  Therefore, I'm thinking someone converted it from something else.  The mono speaker grille above the monitor suggests to me that it once was an older game.

Anyway, I happen to really like the rounded upper marquee area and I've not seen that very often.  An arcade I used to go to had a "Dead Or Alive" in a similar cabinet with a top rounded marquee and I always wondered who made it originally.  Can anyone identify?

Thanks again for your time!

Looks like a data east cabinet. Either bad dudes or Robocop.

Looks like a Data East cabinet.

Here's a pic of two (courtesy of MGB):  (mine is on the left) and his is on the right.  Robocop and Heavy Barrel respectively.   ;D

If you're curious, here's a link to MGB's "Vertical Retrace" cab where he MAME'd the Heavy Barrel.

If you're replying to a troll you are part of the problem.
I also need to follow this advice. Ignore or report, don't reply.
