Differences in monitors?
« on: December 09, 2003, 10:38:58 am »
I have an old standard 19 inch monitor in my cabinet.  It has some burn in and I'm afraid it is going to die on me.  I'm looking around a bit at monitors, but I'm completely bewildered by the options.  I see a bunch of different Wells-Gardner models that to me look exactly the same.  What are the differences and how would one go about choosing a monitor?  Is Wells-Gardner the way to go or are there other options for a good price?  I wouldn't mind going to a higher resolution just so I have the option to run some of those games, but don't want to pay an arm and a leg.

Wells sells refurbished monitors... You might want to look into it.

What makes you think the monitor is going to up-and-die on you?

Exactly, there is no reason at all that your monoitor won't last another 10 years. If you can live with the burn in then don't worry about it, the burn in is not going to get worse now.
