PGA Championship III and New member here
« on: July 24, 2014, 06:29:04 am »
Hi everyone !

I'm a new member here. My name is Jean-Maxime and I'm from Québec, Canada. I am working in the great north, 2 weeks in and 2 weeks out so it gives me 2 weeks in a row every month to work on my machine.

What I got is a PGA championship III machine and my plan is to make  4 player MAME cabinet out of it. I don't have any measurements yet. I will be able when I come back on July 30th.

I'm pretty sure I will have to enlarge the control panel and to be honest this is the part that makes me the most worried. Also I don know how wide a basic 4 player control panel is.

What I want is pretty simple (should be)
- 4 bat top joystick (Probably Ultimate 360 unless you know something better)
- 7 buttons for player 1&2
- 4 buttons for player 3&4
- 4 start buttons
- and 4 recessed buttons at the bottom of the cab for credit
I also want the coin slot to be functionnal and I will buy a 4 entry coin door as soon as I can find one. Found one at Happs but it is backorder.

I learnt how to use sketchup yesterday and I made a little plan for what I want it to look like. Please note I put 7 buttons for each player just to figure how much space it took overall.

And here's a picture of my cabinet
