are new games still JAMMA compatable?
« on: December 08, 2003, 09:30:20 pm »
so if i understand correctly, say i pull out my SF3 board from my cabinet. can i stick in say MvC2 board plug in the jamma cable to the board and im ready to play? or is it more complicated then that?

also do new games like Soul Caliber 2 work the same way or are they more complicated?

Many of them are from what i have seen. Some are not, but they are mostly games with spechial controls like simulation games. But SC2 Actually comes on a dvd and plays in an arcade console that connects via the jamma harness. I have only seen one in real life. I wouldnt mind getting a naomi board for my jamma cab. So i guess what im saying is yes you could, but you may need to wire additional buttons.

a naomi board is what SC2 is on im assuming? this will interface with jamma normal or will it need some kind of adapter? are most new games on their own style boards?

what style is MVC2? or should i just wait for it to be emulated, seems no more complex then MVC and theyre in MAME
