I picked up a dedicated Blitz / Showtime cabinet without a monitor last week. I was told it's having boot up issues but I can't see what the error message is without a screen (obviously). So I bought the GBS8200 so that I could temporarily output to VGA (using LCD monitor) in order to see what's going on during start up in the hopes it will give me some direction on repair.
I also bought a new 3.0 Compact Flash Drive, 3.0 chips, and a new time keeper battery. This seller told me it is possible to use the VGA converter but he wanted me ship him my boards and the converter and charge me for a "special set up". I would imagine this is something I can do but was wondering if it goes beyond dip switch settings? Has anyone here done this before and if so, would you mind helping me so that I can get my machine up and running eventually? It would be much appreciated and I don't feel like shipping my boards to someone that may just adjust dip settings and charge me for that.
Thanks!
