video trivia
« on: December 08, 2003, 12:18:24 am »
does anyone have any info on a game called "video trivia"? it was made by greyhound electronics in 1985 even though mine says 1984 on the title screen. the game is stuck in test mode and the rom,ram and game chips  test ok but when it tests the buttons it stops at button 6 everytime.. i have checked all the wiring and it's all ok. and it is not the test switch inside the cab either. i am pretty sure it is something with the board. what i need is any kind of info on this game for example: manual, dip switch settings, pinouts, any info at all. i am also interested in finding out how many of these cocktails were made mine is number 9.i want to get it runnig again but if i cant i'll probibly mame it although i'd hate to convert it because it is a dedicated cocktail that is in very nice shape. the inside looks new and hardly has any dust in it at all. it just needs to get out of test mode and a new peice of glass and it would be perfect. if anyone happens to have a working board for this game they want to sell let me know.

Check the boardset to see if there are any damaged (or easy to replace) components on the trace that leads to button six.

Change dip switch settings one a time to see if that will get you out of test mode.

Finally, post on RGVAC, I see greyhound boards in bulk board listings all the time.

When my PC died I just bought a new power supply, turns out that was it.
