Project dragging out?
« on: June 03, 2014, 05:50:44 pm »
Here is what happens when a project drags on for too long.  Q*Bert has been ready to paint for over a year.

I came home to this today.  #$!%

I like the subtlety of it.

I can't imagine waiting a year just to paint it. I have several projects that sat all winter and a couple new pickups I got in the last couple months. i finally have a robotron, a pac man and a track & field about two weeks away from painting and stenciling and thats already driving me crazy.

Try not having a garage or space to build so you need to rely on your buddy's place on the other side of the city. Heated garage or not, middle of winter and you don't want to be in there. Pushed my deadline back from "February" to "It's Done When It's Done".   :D

I have three more wicked projects I want to start that I have done all the planning for, but I'm not going to really bother until I'm at least done my Flynn's build.

It could have been worse.  It could have been Tron....  Its all a matter of perspective.

true. I have a 2 car garage, and a space inside that used to be a 1 car garage. although it was bone chillingly cold all winter and I couldn't do anything.
since it warmed up i've been working furiously to get things done. I paint stripped and sanded 2.5 cabinets over memorial day weekend.

I find if i have a long day at work, or if i just need to get my mind off still its incredibly helpful just to go work on one of my projects. Tackle design problems i left off with the last time i was working.  I feel like my main build is on a bit of a roll now. I/ getting quite close to the Paint/finish stage. one i'm done that i'm bringing it home to install everything, buttons, computer, fan grills, audio, etc. That will take the 30 minute drive out of the equation and things will get done much faster, rather then the odd weekend or week day i can get down there.
