Auto switch sticks and their non switch counterparts...
« on: May 22, 2014, 04:25:25 pm »
I want to build a 4 player pedestal.  I want P1 and P2 to be auto-switch 4/8 way sticks.  This is easy enough as there is gobs of documentation on the forum here to do so.  What I also want though, is for P3 and P4 to have sticks that feel the same as the P1/P2 sticks do when they are in 8 way.

So, I guess that means I am looking at either Omni2's with some hacking or Servo-Stiks.  So what sticks would I get for P3/4 to match the feel?  Also, can I get some opinions on the auto-switching options that are available.  I'd like info on roll your own as well as off the shelf please.

Oh yeah - costs are nice as well.

Using Omni's, the two sticks would be apx $54, then I'd still need to by servos and the controller board.

Using Servo Stiks, the two sticks + controller is $107, but there's nothing else to buy.

And then after that I'd need the P3/P4 sticks to match.

The Ultimarc ServoStiks are JStiks by Ultimarc with the Servo Mod Kit.  Purchase 2 JStiks, set to 8 way, and it is the same.
