Hyperspin suddenly not loading mame

as far as I can tell I didn't change anything, but suddenly when I'd hit enter to load a game from the wheel, nothing would happen.
I wondered if my keyboard was suddenly hosed, remapped it to 1, and same thing

no idea why it did this. I decided this was a good time to upgrade to .153 in case mame got hosed or somethig. but mame loads on its own.

its really quite irritating cause I'm finally close to installing this in a cab.

Make sure your directory path is correct. Sounds like your upgrade may have changed what folder mame is in, or maybe even the name of the file you're trying to launch.

nope it was doing it before I upgraded, and I upgraded to the exact same folders anyway. the upgrade was an attempt to fix mame if that was the problem.

Check your wheel settings for how it's running.  Do you have Hyperspin or Hyperlaunch selected?  Chances are you had Hyperspin selected at first and then you inadvertently selected Hyperlaunch instead which changes how MAME runs (directories and such)

Also, have you tried running games directly from Hyperlaunch or HyperlaunchHQ?

I tried both and got the same result. just tried it again, fiddled a few other settings that I don't recall now unfortunately and its running. no idea which one fixed it, or how it got messed up to begin with, but I'm not going to complain.
how if I had hair I could start tearing it out trying to get the arcadevga 3000 working properly.
