Good TV to use with a smartswitch?
« on: April 20, 2014, 01:41:58 am »
I'm trying to get my cabinet working with a smart switch before I wire the power button to an arcade push button.

The problem I'm running into is the TV. I've clearly made the wrong choice. It has an annoying standby power mode that interferes with the power up process and there doesn't seem to be a way to disable it. It's RCA LED TV.

I'm looking for an alternate TV to use in my cabinet. Needs to be a 32 Inch flat screen (lcd, led, plasma) does anyone have suggestions? It either has to have no standby (it's entirely on, or it's entirely off, nothing in-between) or it has the option to disable standby. It needs to power on and show a picture the moment it receives power.

Of course if there's something I can do with my existing TV to make it work properly; I'll gladly do so.

RLDED3258A is the model if needed.
I miss Retroblast :(
