Arachnid Super 6 Plus Dead Spots
« on: April 10, 2014, 06:48:49 pm »
Hey guys,

Man this forum is tough to be apart of! But finally got full membership and I have a few questions. I have trolled around for quite a while, owning a few arcade machines.

Now I have an issue I havent been able to solve by trolling for information already posted. I just picked up a Super 6 Plus (6100 I think, not the Plus II) for $100. The machine turns on, monitor is nice and bright, some parts look new... but probably about 30% of the board doesnt score when hit.

I was hoping it just needed a good cleaning but I have put some elbow grease into it and results havent changed. Its odd too, the 20 singles worked but double and triple did not. I am assuming it is the matrix or the card it is connected to that needs to be replaced. The matrix, card, ribbon and connection to the main board all looked good so I do not know how to troubleshoot it specifically.

Also worth noting... my machine is a single bull... Id LOVE a double bull. There is a single tape matrix on ebay for $140 right now. What else would I need?

Edit: Dont know why the last pic came in upside down... it is just my little mancave attempt
