Emuwizard and Clones
« on: March 20, 2002, 03:28:22 pm »
I'm confused how Emuwizard handles clones.  For instance, if I have pacman.zip in the ROMs directory, Emuwizard will not show the Midway version unless I enable Display Missing Games.  But then it shows me over 3000 games!  Whether or not I have the Display Clones enabled, I never see the Midway version of Pacman.  Any ideas?

Thanks,
Dan

I dont' know, but does it handle merged roms?  And are you using merged roms?

JFront does, only because I currently assume a full rom set... (I know, it takes a second to actually look for the file.... I'm lazy and have a full romset myself).  But I can say this, once I start checking the directories, I won't check for merged sets.  I dont' like um

I figured out a work-around.  I simply went into MAME.LST and changed:

name pacman
...
cloneof puckman

to read:

name pacman
...
cloneof pacman

and now it works :)
