Chaintech video cards?
« on: December 03, 2003, 01:42:21 pm »
Anyone heard of them? Any good? Would a Chaintech Nvidia GeForce4 MX440 128MB be a good deal, brand new, at $40 + shipping?

The performance will be in line with others (+/- video memory speed).  Don't expect good TV out if thats an option.

offnames of nvidia cards are usually good.  Some brands better then others because of faster memory.  But most don't go off the referenceboard layout by much (especially smaller brands).

But on the TV out... they can use one of a few chips.  Some are GREAT (expensive) and some suck the big one...

Well I just bought one. So (holding up a glass of wine), here's to an s-video output that doesn't suck... :)

I'm hoping the TV out is decent on this one. I haven't heard anything bad so far...
