Stop linking to pictures on Facebook?

Actually, just don't bother linking to project pictures outside of this site. There is no guarantee that the pictures will still be there in a week, a month or a years time.

I've already brought this point up in other threads. All too often, links break, websites re-organize their internal structures, websites go off line, they move, there are bandwidth controls. Pick your poison. I can't tell you how many times I've come across a page with broken pictures that are relevant to the topic because the owner was trying to save on bandwidth costs or some other nonsense. It didn't matter if the page was either six weeks old or six years old, it happens a lot.

Upload the pictures directly to the forum instead. There are threads for that specific purpose and as long as BYOAC stays online, so will the pictures.
