Disable Menu in MALA

Is it possible to disable the menu that appears when pressing "2" on the keyboard.
If not, can it be remapped to a different key?
Also, is it possible to edit this menu directly to manipulate what items appear on it?

I'm using MALA in my MAME cabinet, and I currently have the "2" key on my keyboard mapped to the Player 2 button on the control panel. I don't want this menu appearing when someone presses that button.

To remap it to something else go to:
Options
Controller Tab
Keyboard Tab
Basic Tab

Set Menu open/close to whatever key you want.
