Depends on what size material is obtainable at the best pricing  -- and how many plates can be made from a single sheet of material. (ie. if using full sheet 8.5x11" sheets of stickers and 1 foot x 2 foot aluminum sheets ) might as well size them to get the best layout to use the sheets of material with minimum waste and get the most plates.) :dunno

The one I won from Corybee for my bartop is 3 3\4" x 1 3\4"

Daaaaaammmmm..... that IS big. Looks nice, but big.

I made the same mistake myself early in the process of designing my own. Through trial and error, I've found that anything wider than 3 inches starts to look too big. I design my plates at a 3"w x 2"h ratio, and that looks normal.

Did CoryBee die?

Yeah I haven't seen his antics around here in a while.  The forum says he was last active two days ago but I haven't really seen anything posted from him since Christmas.

Chance - That plate seems really big.   :o  As you can see below mine is laying on a cutting mat with 1x1" squares and mine only measures to be 2x4".  Your's looks to be close to 6x4.  Which is the size of a normal photograph.  I personally would size it down but that's me.
