Thanks for testing. Yea i figured it was the emulator not allowing certain buttons...
on the GP-Wiz, what is the corresponding button with superscript? like R1?
I tested this on my 2PL controller for testing purposes on the GP-Wiz for ePSX. I normally use a PS2 type controller for the ePSX. I loaded up Castlevania SOTN because I knew it only used a couple of buttons & I could play it on this controller.
Since my 2PL controller has 6 buttons each & the admins, I had mapped the R1 & R2 to PL2's 1st & 4th button. Which would be input 9 & 12 on the GP-Wiz. The L1 & L2 were mapped to PL1's buttons.
What was giving me a problem for the input #21 is it is a
user defined input on the interface. Which as I have said, that is a coin button for me. So no big deal cause all other buttons mapped fine in ePSX.
In the game controller properties in Windows what # buttons are lighting up when pushed?
It is sounding like to me you have it wired different, if you are having to switch inputs on the interface to get ePSX to see them. Like they are on the user defined inputs.
All of the PL1 & PL2 input buttons should map in ePSX for you.
Do you have it wired like this?
