All right, some final thoughts on this project...
As I stated at the beginning, this project came into existence due to ZapCon 2014. I had the board, wanted to make a cab, and it went there with the goal to enter it into the show. That was my tangible deadline. And I was happy enough to make it, with the help of your suggestions and feedback.
There was a lot of cool stuff there, and I got a lot of compliments from strangers and from collectors whose opinions I value greatly. That in itself was nice, but when they told me it was named "Fan Favorite Video Game", that was awesome. Slippyblade happened to be right by me when they told me, and he gave me a high five, which was cool (BTW, Slippyblade IS a pretty cool guy IRL and I enjoyed meeting his kids).
I know the cheesy awards thing is to say "I couldn't have done it without you guys", but it's true. Having you guys as a sounding board for ideas and as a ruler to measure excellence is what drives me forward in this hobby. Mix the love I have for Macross/Robotech with the love I have for arcade games, and add the feedback, opinions, and experience of a group of guys whose opinions I value (well, most of you, anyway

) and some of whom I consider friends in real life, and this has been a great experience. Thanks, guys!
