Theme of 2013
« on: February 03, 2014, 05:26:41 pm »
The UCA has me wondering what was the most built cabinet of 2013 on BYOAC?  Any ideas?

If last month was any indication, 2014 is shaping up to be the year for Battle Royal and Star Wars themes.

IIRC, the three most common build styles in 2013 were DK/Fix it Felix, Ond's Metropolis, and Weecade-style bartops.

Not sure which theme was most common, though.   :dunno

As an aside, I think the answer is *lix, viewlix, vigolix, neolix and other lix's  Is a close runner up, if not a leader.

It's hard to tell without doing a census-style count because it's human nature to recognize and remember the familiar items in a large group.

Years ago, my best friend bought a Saturn and commented numerous times in the following months on how many Saturns he saw on the road.

A decade later, he bought a Mazda and, once again, commented numerous times in the following months on how many Mazdas he saw on the road.   :lol

There may be a similar skewing of people's perspective on this topic.

I did not know Saturn is/was a car brand/model, so I read Saturn as in the Sega console. Then I went, see them on the road  ??? lol
