Note: I have also emailed Andy at Ultimarc and if he responds, I will post below.Having some problems installing the ArcadeVGA I just got (order # 268383). This is the THIRD card I have gotten from you over the years by the way.
My system:
ASUS H81M-A Micro ATX Intel Motherboard
Intel Pentium G3220 Haswell 3.0GHz
Windows 7 Professional 64 Bit
Problem 1: When I try to auto-run the driver CD I get the error message "Cannot open menu project file"
Problem 2:
When I navigate manually into the driver directory on the CD there are no folders that seem to be for Windows 7. All I see are "CPANEL, vista_32_64_release, XP64, and XPPCIE"
Problem 3: When I try to use Windows 7 drivers from "
http://www.ultimarc.com/avgadrivers.html" nothing seems to happen. First of all i'm not sure I picked the right driver from that list as I am not sure what "lower port" is supposed to mean. I assume it means closest to the mother board. When I look in the device manager, the display adapter is listed as "standard vga graphics adapter". I was using onboard graphics, at first, when I set the computer up and I noticed that when I restarted with the AVGA card in for the first time, it automatically installed some drivers. I am assuming when I go to install drivers nothing happens because of the already present generic drivers.
Problem 4:
What I describe in problem three seems to relate to the "forcing a driver install"procedure, but the instructions state "Navigate to the location of the INF file on the Ultimarc CD as follows (assuming D is your CD drive) Windows XP and 2K: D:/AVGAdrivers/XP/2KXP_inf" My CD does not have this directory. It has "XP64" and "XPPCIE" but neither of those seem to contain "2KXP_inf"
How might I proceed?
