trackball openion...
« on: January 20, 2014, 04:10:58 pm »
hi,
ok so it's like this
i am about to make the mdf order,
i think about using an 20mm MDF,
do you guys think 20mm Wood is better ? i mean maybe mdf will only last for 4, 6 years as wood would last a lifetime...

amm
and about my trackball, i looked at all my options and i can't shake it that in the end with texas and all i'd pay about 150 $ for it..
you think i should let it go ? i mean i'm going to have a Mouse & Keyboard in a hidden drawer on anyway... so you know...
the thing is it sure makes the CP looks amazing...
what do you think ? should i just let it go ? and stick with the jostick and buttons ?

A trackball opens up a number of games that are pretty fun, Marble Madness, bowling games, other sports games, are just a few.

A good arcade trackball is $$$ though, and they take up a pretty good amount of CP space. But, they're USB and easy to hook up..

Also, make sure you provide plenty of clearance for an aggressive hand when using it or you'll be bashing fingers on the screen all the time.

But I'd say if you can swing it, you won't be sorry.

Now, the flightstick I put on my CP, that's a whole different story  :(

the thing is another dream of my was to buy AimTrak Light Gun again they are 100$ each .. and i kinda need 2 of them .. LOL ..

personally, i cant imagine building a cab without a trackball. it is worth having just for millipede.  there is always the x-arcade trackball....it's only $50 and it comes with the usb/ps2 interface and 4 buttons.  if you use a mounting plate, you could easily swap it out later for a fancy glowing one later
