Need assistance with Neo Geo MVS side profile
« on: January 09, 2014, 03:20:40 pm »
Looking for some assistance with a project. I was unable to find dimensions, drawings, or even a nice full side shot of an Neo Geo MVS-1 or MVS-2 cabinet for a mini cabinet I'm working on. So I had to eyeball it and came up with the attached drawing. I was hoping some with a better eye than myself and more familiar with this cabinet could tell me if the proportions and/or angles look correct. Thanks for any assistance you can provide!

Looks pretty good to me.
Not sure if you looked here but hardmvs is pretty good, though I'm
Not sure if there is a solid side shot there.

Also if you use sketchup at all, a user by the name of gozer has
Some nice accurate drawings.

Thanks mgp! Those sketchups should work nicely. That must be the ONE place I haven't looked!

Neo-Geo had a mini in production.  It's the MVS-2-13.  No, not the "gold" cab that I think looks like ass.

I'm building a bartop that is effectively a 2-13 with the base cut off.

Meh, different strokes.  The Gold to me just brings back to many bad memories of Pong consoles or other horrible wood laminate home electronics from the 70's.  To me, the thing looks like it should have an 8-Track slot in the CP somewhere.

I think the shape looks good. I ran into the same problem when I was planning on building an MVS instead of my current build.
