Replaced IC3 made a mess of the screen. Probably bad Other issue was still there even with it squashed down. So I put the old chip back screen cleared up back to original issue. Waiting for replacement for IC2 and IC3 again.  All this time and effort is making me want to buy a replacement chassis.

So I guess there are still two things left to change. But if you think its not on that circuit... might be spinning my wheels.

Should I replace that resistor that is reading 3.7 ohm when Ken says it should be 3.1? Would that make the difference? I'm having difficulty finding a 1watt 3.1 ohm.

there is a chart for this and u will need to find it,
un-plug monitor from a/c power ,remove vert yoke plug,
and with a digital mulit meter, measure it >ohm's<,and compare it to the chart..
it should be with in1ohm..better yet if u had a inductance meter
this would tell u the trick..again there is a chart,if u cannot find it?
I will see if I can find mine..
if not pm rickn,he has a chart

Shipping something from the U.S. to Canada for repair/exchange?  Please use USPS to avoid (additional?/excessive?) shipping charges.  PM me if you have any questions.

Hey Ed is this chart in the manual? Also I don't have an inductance meter.  Mine is the krm aeec-2890 which does way more than I understand.

no
but I do have it now on my desktop..
I will up-load it soon enough..it is in xls format but I will .zip and get er up
just use the lowest auto ohm's u have, as the resistance will be 27-47 ohm
u go by yoke # and or picture tube #...yoke is best

OK this is the part where I own up. The issue was cut off. Due to resolution. All I can figure out was it was an interlaced VS. non-interlaced resolution.
The horrible part was changing parts everywhere on that chassis and not getting anywhere with it. I now have lots of extra parts that are currently not useful to me.

Sorry to waste everyone's time. I honestly thought it was chassis related. Thanks for enduring me. Only thing left to fix is red ghosting/bleed.

Expressline, how did you sort out the resolution problem?

I have a k7000 as well and am have terrible vertical folding/rollover.  I've tried adjusting the 50-60Hz pot which makes it better but not good enough. When I run mame, 90% of the games are perfect, this foldover is only noticeable on the windows desktop and vertical games.  Does anyone know if there is any chance this could be computer related and not a chassis problem?
After reading this thread i'm thinking it's going to cost me hundreds to buy all the parts I need to guarantee I fix it if it is in fact the chassis.  Bob Roberts seems to be the only person with all the replacement parts, but he only takes cheque, and I live in Canada, so i'm figuring turn around on parts is going to be 3-4 weeks.  If I buy on part at a time it's going to take me months to fix this and cost me lots in shipping.  Really not sure what to do.

10 capacitors and vertical ic should cost you about $10-15
