why is my nanocade layout not displaying its lines/ edges?

If you're talking about your background picture, either the picture is missing, the path is wrong in the layout editor, or the picture format is wrong.

I don't remember exactly what types make Mala happy.  I seem to remember that PNGs could only be 24-bit depth.  Not sure if that was Mala or something else.
