Maelstrom (Abrosia game) Fullscreen?
« on: December 11, 2013, 11:42:32 pm »
Has anyone been able to get Maelstrom (the old asteroids type game from Amborosia) running fullscreen on a modern pc without any visual problems? When I use the -fullscreen command line switch the colors are messed up, almost looks like the wrong bit depth on the monitor. I've tried changing the resolution and bit depth on the monitor before launching, tried the -nofade command line for as well but no luck. Sometimes (rarely) it will work, most other times the color palette is severly reduced and the screen appears mostly white. I'm using a fast PC and vid card with my monitor at 1920x1200. I think it's meant to be run at 640x480 and 32bit which the monitor should easily be able to change to.

I like it mainly because of some of the sound packs for it like Army of Darkness, Beavis and Butthead, Star Wars, Star Trek etc. Thought it would be simple to setup but it's turning into a PITA.

Appreciate the help if anyone's got it working.
