  • I want to build my own arcade controls!
Good Afternoon All;

While it seems like forever I have been attempting to build a cabinet I am currently on try number 3 (I am a horrible wood worker) to pass the time I had purchased an X-Arcade Controller quite some time ago. Moving on to my current dilema

This ast weekend I downloaded Super Model 3 and located star wars trilogy....After going through the readme I get the game to load and it's actually fairly playable but a little laggy...I can only use the mouse right now and have been reading until my eyes bleed on how to get the configuration to work....

I have done the following by typing from the command line supermodel -config-inputs and get another box to open and it is completely empty and whatever I do nothing changes. I have searched here and over at the supermodel forum, and read until my eyes have bleed and it's making no sense, and all I can find is a file for the tank stik...my controller is much older....and I would like to do this myself so when I get a cabinet done I can fix and maintain in my own.

......

I would love to use the joysticks and buttons to play this game...

My nephew and I recently discovered this game and dumped a fair mount of tokens into it this past weekend at Garcia's Pizza in Decatur Il......

Thanks in advance for any help

The original game uses an analog joystick. Supermodel works great with one as well as a mouse (including lightguns like Aimtrak).  Have you tried mapping your arcade stick as a mouse?

Something like that might work.

Yes the controller config window opens, but it is the window behind there that will tell you what is going on, the original command prompt that you typed supermodel -config-inputs into it.  Read what it is saying there to configure your inputs.  Press "h" for help to see a list of commands.
