Picked up five more cabinets today!
« on: November 18, 2013, 02:57:29 pm »
So today I went to see my guy to pickup my road blaster cab. As we walked around, he was pointing out what cabs were available. I end up getting the road blaster, megaforce 2003, area 51 with both guns, a 19" vert with two joys and 3 buttons and a target toss. None of which I got to test or really check over. Just the way he is, always in a hurry.  Been adding to this post as I pick them up. So all cabs are in my garage besides the target toss. I have test the other cabs thus far. Mega just beeps and test screen on the monitor. The vert booted right up, to my surprise, has a 60 to 1 board in it! The area 51 powers up, post beeps, a screen that says watchdog and nothing farther. Got target toss home and checked it over. They pulled the chassis but the nighthawk pc, jamma i/o board was still there. Fired it up, and I got audio. Pulled the ssb pc out and hooked up the target toss. Cant use the i/o board from the ssb, so now I gotta figure out how to use the same buttons and trackball for each game. He has a goldentee fore complete I am considering grabbing. I could have all three in the same cab!

Ok, you can just rot.  I hate you soooo much.  In my area I'm lucky to see an empty, gutted, beat-up cabinet for anything less than $75...

Same here in California.  $250 gets you garbage.  If it works they want $500+ for it

LOL, gf just put the end to buying cabs for now.. Tried to mess with the area 51, this is the screen I get then a big beep, then seems to reboot.

I don't feel any movement from the hard drive.

All I had to do to the area 51 was remove the power cab,e from the hard drive re install and it booted right up. I have a cf to ide adapter on the way to switch out that old hard drive. Messed with the Road Blaster, steering is off, the gas peddle dont work and the screen is all out of adjustment. Found the dip switch, rest all the controls. Played ok until the first curve, then went back to the way it was.
