Packman Needs Repair
« on: November 17, 2013, 05:30:23 pm »
I have a cocktail table Packman that is not working, all I see when I turn it on is a bunch of colored letters and numbers it reminds me of the movie The Matrix. I do hear some kind of clicking every 10 – 15 seconds. On the Game logic Board Assembly it is number  A082-91375-B000 from Midway Mfg Co.

I am interested in getting this table game fixed but I am not very electronic savvy and I live in Iowa and not by a lot of electronic repair places I trust.

I am not sure if the main circuit board is the problem so I hate to buy a new one without knowing.

Suggestions?
Thanx
Bill

about 2 things comes to mind
as u can see the matrix, which in realty is the post boot rom chk-sum screen
it is either a lose chip >eprom or ram< or your 5volt rail is just undr 4.7 volts..
unplug machine, and push on all the ic's to make sure they are seated right.
then plug machine back in..if it still dose it? there is a control on your power supply
which u can turn up or down to get 5volts back in the range
