Electronic coin mech and ipac2
« on: November 15, 2013, 09:26:20 pm »
I've just bought a electronic 12v coin mech.

Came with no instructions.

There are 5 pins, on the side it says...
 Grey - counter + -
Red - +12v
White - coin signal
Black - ground
Gray counter - +

I don't have a counter so don't need to worry about grey.

12v to computer power supply.
Coin signal to the ipac2

So how do I wire the ground?

Thanks so much for your help

I think I killed my coin mech, wired it up, and found my psu was sending 25v down the yellow wire.

It wasn't the IDE power wire I used, but one of the newer power molexes with the orange wire as well.

Me thinks I'm going back to mechanical one, sigh can't be bothered waiting another week for delivery so will wait until I order something else. Screwed up logic I know.
