Griffin Powermate Installed In Control Panel??
« on: November 15, 2013, 12:26:41 am »
Hey Guys,

i'm doing a jukebox project and am thinking of installing a Griffin Powermate into the control panel part to use as volume etc. Has anybody done this? If so how did you do it, what size hole needs to be drilled etc?

Cheers

yeah mate im a big fan of them , you only have too drill a hole too fit the usb in , then i glued it too my jukebox , handy as you also have a lot of other options you can map too, i use press in and turn right for next song , press in and turn left too clear playlist etc

The hole for the shaft is 3/8" and the keyway hole needs to be 1/8". Mounting it straight to the panel will require you to make a spacer, otherwise the knob won't fit right. It will bottom out and scratch the panel and the mute function won't work (push in to mute)

This should help.
