Leaf Switches
« on: November 22, 2003, 08:52:00 pm »
I am new to leaf switches and I have a question.

All of the buttons have a little verticle tab underneath the rim. I am installing the buttons in a Phoenixarcade metal control panel. Do I trim off the tabs? Are the tabs there to hold the button in place?

Seems like a dumb question but I had to ask.

Thanks.

They look like they are there to dig in to a wooden control panel to keep them secure. I had to trim mine to fit over into a lexan panel. I don't think it makes a big difference because the nut keeps them tight.
