Simpsons 2 Player doesn't show

I've got a strange problem between Mala and Mame32ui. On Mame 32 I can play the 2 player clone of The Simpsons where the player can choose his character but on Mala I can't. The versions that say 2 player in the Gamelist app don't work.

I know the roms are ok because I can play the game straight from mame32ui but they just don't start in Mala. I get the small box briefly the nothing.
