Hi,

I'm looking to purchase either a Dedicated Mortal Kombat 2 or Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 arcade cabinet.  Can be working, not working, or an empty cabinet, but I'm looking for one that has a solid cabinet and pretty nice artwork.  I'm also looking to start a pinball project and would like to purchase an empty pinball cabinet, preferably something from the late 80's/90's like a Back to the Future, TMNT, or Terminator 2 for example.  I'm located near Brunswick Ohio.  Please let me know if you have one you'd like sell and how much you're asking.  Pictures are also appreciated.  Thanks!

How far are you willing to drive and are you willing to pay shipping? I have a dedicated MKII with a run button drilled and I have MK1 (T-Unit), MKII, UMK3 (both Zeus and original ROMs) and WWF Wrestlemania. All the games use the same kick harness, so switching games is just moving the jamma edge and the kick plug. I'm located in Newark,De about 7 hours away from you. I can take/post pictures if its possible.  Also, whats your budget?

Thanks for your Reply Malenko.  Unfortunately a 7 hour drive is more than I can afford to tackle at this juncture.  I was really hoping to find something more local in Ohio, I probably should have specified that.  I also don't think that shipping would be an option for me as I know shipping costs are really expensive and would probably drive up the price too much for me.  I've also heard some horror stories about cabinets being damaged by shipping companies, so I'd prefer to pick up any unit myself in order to give it a thorough once over and the white glove treatment  :).  It certainly does sound like you have a nice setup.  Can I ask how much you would ask for your setup?  I've seen that prices for dedicated cabinets vary widely on Craigslist and ebay, and I'd be curious to know what value you put on yours.  Thanks

My cab with just UMK3 or just MKII is around 650 Id say. Side art is in great shape with the typical fade of the color red. My CP is fine except a slight gab near the monitor, I have a spare CP box just havent had the time to merge everything into 1 better CP. PCBs are pricey though, UMK3 is ~125, MKII is ~100 MK1 ~90 WWF ~ 175

Shipping wouldnt be too bad if you used forward air, but you'd have to pick it up at a terminal.

Heres my for sale thread form 4 years ago: (with pix)

cab looks exactly the same as it used to.

Your cabinet does look to be in pretty nice shape.  If you were closer I would certainly attempt to break away for a bit to check it out.  I think at this point I'm going to hold out hope that someone has one locally that they are looking to sell.  Your $650 price is close to the price of others that I have seen.  I recently missed out on two dedicated cabinets listed for 400 and 500 respectively which was right around the price point I was hoping to hit.  Thank you again for your replies.

NP, GOOD LUCK!

PS: MKII side art is the best of the bunch, so get that cab if you can

Thanks again, and I do agree.  I actually used to have the attached project MK2 cabinet that was in great shape, unfortunately I had to sell it a while back and still regret it.  I'd really be happy with either cabinet version especially if the artwork is nice or in need of some minor cleanup.  I know that UMK3 is harder to come by but also not quite as desirable so we'll see what, if anything, pops up.
