Pacman cabinet question.

Im looking at the Pacman plans from Jakobud.com and Im wondering if grooves or "dado joints" have to be made for the side wood/monitor brackets and roof of the game? or is it just nailed and glued in? I made some arrows in the pic to show what im talking about.

From what I've seen in other's projects, they're pretty much screwed or nailed in.
(though I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to glue as well).

I suppose you could dado them in as well.

Well I was trying to avoid going the dado route, so If its not a must then that works for me.

They use dado for more surface area and glue.  The glue is the powerhouse here.  If you don't do dado you need to use screws or 15ga nails or lower and glue.  That is if its a traditional arcade monitor.  If its just an LCD tv you could get away with smaller nails and glue.

Its a traditional arcade monitor, yeah I will definitely go with the nails and glue.
