is a SF3 arcade worth 500?

theres a Street Fighter 3 (original) in a local arcade shop for $495.  The game is fully functional, just need to change some of the buttons.  Am wondering if I should get it..  and how hard would it be to keep the original game in it and add a computer on the side where i can just flip a switch and be playing with the computer instead?

yup ... if the cabinet is in good shape ... I'd jump all over that!

The CPSIII system usually runs $200 and up unless you snag it off eBay and it will still run you anywhere from $100 - $150 (w/Street Fighter III - New Generation)

Lets see a good 25" monitor ... try $250 or more (no screen burn)

... and the cabinet itself ... easily worth $50 - $100 (depending on shape its in)

I'll say its priced reasonable

my main goal for it if I buy it will be to keep the SF3 and add a pc in there.  since mame can't emulate CPS3 yet and SF3 is my all time favorite game.. (spent money on it everyday of the summer and skipping school to play it.. parrying is just too fun)  But I would have to think having both at once is just next to impossible since i'm a noob on this..  or is there some easy way that I dont' know about?

yeah its worth $500.you could resell the game for like $150-200(sf3 NG right?).

Then you got a working monitor and a cabinet for $300.great

Depends on the version. Theres New Generation, 2nd Impact and 3rd Strike which is considered the best one.
