AMI Rowe Model 91 plays briefly and returns record
« on: October 22, 2013, 11:01:38 pm »
Hi

I have an AMI Rowe Model R91 45/CD Combo jukebox here in New Zealand. It is in lovely condition and lights up beautifully. The problem I have is on about 50% of the selections the record is selected and arm comes into contact for about 5 to 6 seconds, plays the fist bit of the song and then returns without playing the whole 45, any idea what could be causing this??

Regards
David

Hello David,

Welcome to the forum.

Are you saying that the record is played for around 5/6 seconds with music playing or does the gripper bow return almost immediately in other words the transfer motor keeps turning?

If the styli commes in contact with the record and plays for a short while, try removing the the two pin connection to the cut off board, if the record plays to the end then the fault is just down to the reed switch or adjustment of the cut off board.

If the above is not the case then I suggest that you have the CCC and Mechanism Control Unit checked out.

I send parts to both Australia & New Zealand.

Regards
Alan

Hi

Yes the record plays for 5 or 6 seconds and then is returned. Where is the two pin connection to the cut off board (photos?) Great to know you send parts to NZ, may need some...
