Mame bar cabinet question
« on: October 16, 2013, 12:01:37 pm »
Hello,

I had a mame arcade but it was just too big for the room.

Now, I will like to build a cocktail mame or bar mame.

Cocktail mame: still big
Bar mame: very small and I could put it on my bar.

My question:
If I go with a bar mame, I was wondering if they are moving a lot when you play since they are pretty light.

when I play game, I really put a lot of pression on those joystick LOL you know what I mean

thanks

Rubber will probably be your friend. I'd find some rubber stand offs or cut from a large machines inner tube and adhere it to the bottom. It also might help protect it from a spilt drink or "bar sweat".

It will also depend on the wood you will use. My in-law bartop is made from furniture composite wood and it is pretty heavy, it's not moving around. At all.
Doing arcades, the cheap@ss way!
