Need Advice, NAOMI and PC in same cab
« on: October 15, 2013, 09:24:19 pm »
So I have a MvC2 cabinet in a Dynamo HS5 and I want to put a PC in it.  It has a Capcom I/O and the video switching is no problem.. the button swap however will be a nightmare.
  T
I have an old dial KVM that carries one PS2 and one VGA signal through a like...32pdt switch, give or take a few poles.

I was going to buy a jvs-pac  and hook it up in line after the switch box. I think it would be a good option and should hook up easily to my switchbox with 3x usb/ps3 adapters and a few extra USB A->A cables and might anyway, but the device puts me a little over budget for this side project (budget = $0).  And this IS the build-your-own forum, damnit.

So far:
I can't find dpdt microswitches that will fit my standard buttons
I CAN fit 2x microswitches "stacked" on my joysticks. They have the square actuators and the way its tapered presses both switches at almost exactly the same time.  The buttons however wont take side by side switches... and I've got 14 of them not counting joysticks.
I didn't see if the jvs-pac supports all 6 buttons, does it?

So any advice would be great
I have some spare parts that might come in handy.
2x USB -> microswitch adapter (these rock and are in cardboard boxes right now)
50 or so microswitches
spare wire
soldering skillz
spare happ buttons, happ joysitcks.

Thanks all!
