Unwanted Game List Switching
« on: September 25, 2013, 07:22:53 pm »
I’ve recently built a cocktail arcade table, and I’ve run into an issue with Mala.  I’m using the controller mapping feature to rotate the screen and select the proper game list for each side of the table.  All the buttons on the table are hooked up to the computer through a MiniPAC.  One side of the table has an UltraStick 360 as the controller.   In the Controller Mapping settings I have that side of the table’s “Set”  as “Joy 1” so that the it switches lists and orientation when the joystick is moved (to select the game).

The problem I’ve run into is that I can’t stop Mala from switching the game list to “All Games” when the start button is pushed.    This even happens if tell Mala to hide the “All Games” list.

In order for the start button to work I have it defined under “Set 1”, but “Set 1” is not selected anywhere on the Controller Mapping screen.   I’ve tried switching the settings so the “Set 1” is set using the Controller Mapping screen instead of Joy 1.  That just reverses the problem, and moving the joystick now switches to “All Games”

Any solutions, other than rewiring my cabinet to use the inputs on UltraStick 360 for the start button?  (I am hoping to avoid that, but that’s what I will try, soon)
Thanks!
