NSM 100CD jukebox - error code 31
« on: September 10, 2013, 06:34:47 pm »
Hi. Looking for options to get my NSM jukebox working again. I've had it about a year however last week on turn on it has started throwing the Er 31 code. I'm absolutely no expert here so looking at whether there is an easy way to fix or whether it needs a professional! Any guidance would be greatly appreciated as the house is too quiet at the moment! Thanks. Paul

err 31 is error code 31  there should be a #
it means memory contents (control unit) invalid or not programmed

correction
go to program mode >pull service switch up<
step up to all of your programing
ie
plays per purchase
free play
time of day
happy hour yes or no

if it does not hold that ie means your dallas back-up chip which has a battery in it has gone south

Hi. Thanks for such a quick response. Here's where I own up to being a complete numpty on this! How do I go to the programming mode and where will I find the service switch? Sorry for asking what I'm sure are stupid questions! Paul

hi
if it is a grand prefomer?
open the lid on your right side will be a switch
u pull it up

on a wall mount open door find the switch again right side
pull it out

wa la u are in program mode
use your up-down arrows on the key pad to step through the service steps
a manual is handy right about now..
do u have 1 ?
