Anyone made a board for displaying high scores?
« on: September 06, 2013, 10:14:48 am »
Thinking about making a board for my kids to keep their high scores visible. Pinball machine is covered in like 50 sticky notes right now..lol
Anyone bought a good one or created their own?

I'm thinking about one of those LED lit menu boards you see at restaurants.
Basically a chunk of acrylic that's edge lit with leds. Led tape around the entire edge would probably work well.

I bought a BetaBrite off eBay to display mine. Your idea works great, too.

Haha yea I've got one of those here. The high scores change faster than I can 'peg' them though.

After looking on ebay I see these things sell pretty cheap so I may not DIY one.

Yea it's basically a fancy chalkboard.

I'm sure the kids will enjoy 'wiping out' the current high score, especially if it's mine. ;D

A while back I picked up a menu/letter board off of CL for cheap. It was used as a schedule board in a bus station. Works great for the game room.

Very nice. I bet a blacklight shining on that would look cool.

Can I suggest going low tech with this and use an old laptop in a frame.
If I had only one wish, it would be for three more wishes.
