Some arcade life in CT.
« on: August 30, 2013, 12:09:49 am »
I'm pretty happy to see at least some signs of life in the classic arcade scene, here in CT. And I'm happy I'm able to be some part in it.

After I started getting into machine repair, I got a side gig repairing games at a roller rink in the state and then I ended up doing repairs for private collectors throughout the state through Craigslist ads.
Earlier this year through my ads i hooked up with these two brothers who recently started a mobile arcade trailer business. They have actual arcade games on the trailer, not pc stations or consoles.
So I have a good steady gig with them because games on a trailer need a lot of service and they are also into buying and selling games so they keep me pretty busy.

Now these guys are starting a coinop auction business. They just got a 12000 sq foot shop and they're gonna run the auctions out of there along with an online element to it.

I'm pretty excited and I think it'll keep me going pretty well.
We were just on the phone today for an hour talking about the layout of the building and how my workbench will be setup.
