:dizzy:    :dizzy:   Have you made a cardboard test panel in that configuration and tried to press the buttons?   :dizzy:    :dizzy:

Seems like P1 buttons are tilted so far clockwise that it will force P1 to stand further left which can mess up game play big time.

Go to Slagcoin, find a layout you like, print it twice, tape it to the cardboard, cut out the holes, install the buttons/joystick and see how it feels.

Also with that much real estate, why are the admin buttons so darn close and in the wierd "W" pattern?

What's the difference between Home and Esc?

And I'd put P1 and P2 lower, in place of Home and Escape. You don't want anyone reaching OVER Esc to press anything and accidentally exit you out.

I agree... make a cardboard mockup of your panel and see how it feels.

Here are some thoughts on admin buttons..

I highly advise against a power button on your control panel, it will get pressed accidentally and it will piss you off when it happens.

What is the home button for?

Do you plan on having a pause button?

I'd keep the start buttons away from any admin buttons to avoid confusion. You know what the buttons do, but other people will not.

I don't quite understand the touchpad thing.  Does it do more than just control music?  It seems odd to me to be included on the CP.

Do you have a coin door?  If not, you might want coin buttons.

Are you locked in to the size and shape of the CP?  As mentioned, its a lot of real estate for what you need for controls.  You could probably clip the CP width by 8-12 inches.

Also as mentioned...the power button.  I'd suggest moving that off the CP altogether.  If not, kids will push it on purpose, adults will push it by accident.

BTW, is this a pedestal build?
