After making some "upgrades" to my showcase cab, I ended up with enough parts and materials to build a second machine. The cabinet consists of 4 separate pieces. The monitor housing contains a 46" Samsung LCD TV (

It has a marquee housing that can accommodate a standard backlit marquee or a digital marquee from a modified 27" LCD monitor. It sits atop the main cabinet which serves as an "entertainment center" with two laminated shelves and tinted glass doors that can house a receiver, game consoles, blu-ray/dvd player, etc. The CP pedestal connects to the main cabinet and has an opening for a Coinco 4 player coin door. It also houses a keyboard tray. The CP has cutouts for 4 joysticks with 6 buttons per player. Start buttons for P1-4 mount towards the top. There is a 4 port USB hub embedded in the front of the CP (facing the monitor) to connect console controllers. All parts of the cabinet are constructed mostly of an ultralight MDF which weighs about 30% less than traditional MDF. The whole unit is covered in 1/16" black Formica.
Since this is a DIY crowd, I'm offering this unit w/o buttons, joysticks, coin door, digital marquee (std marquee included), computer, or speakers. However, if someone wanted any or all of those items, I could include them for an additional amount. In other words, you can have a mostly "bare" cabinet or a mostly "complete" machine depending on how much you want to spend. If interested, plz contact me so we can discuss your specific needs. Here are some pics of various iterations of this cabinet.
