Thanks unstupid.

I think I will make the surrounds about 10% or more smaller.

Anyone interested in a tutorial? I think I will make one up and put it up for review so the pros can chime in on easier methods or shortcuts etc.

Just make it, bro. You know in 5 years someone's going to necro this thread asking you how you did it anyway.

Working on it. I am just surprised I couldn't find any information on how to make the them even though so many of the good builds have them. I suppose anyone with a design background knows all the tricks, I am not one of those people.

Drill marks transferred to wood, holes drilled, acrylic cut, holes routed in acrylic, art sandwiched, buttons installed

What do you guys think?

Honeslty, I think it would have benefited with the transparency; the biege/brown is a bit overwelming.

Yea I will add some transparency if I use art in the background like this again.

Finished this guys cabinet, not going to create an announcement thread as I have built this same model many times now. Been cranking them out like a robot recently; 3 Full-Size machines and 2 Half-Size ones in a month.

Still needs to be wiped down, ---smurfin--- dust always messing shite up

Bare minimum on this build. I present whomever wants a machine with options, only once has someone requested side-art (costs extra), coin doors are requested much more often though.

Sorry to disappoint :(

I have mixed feeling about side art.  You don't play the cabinet, you play the control panel / screen.  And in an arcade with machines lining the walls - you can't see the side art anyway.

So who cares?  Same thing as pinball machines - collectors are always going nuts over the cabinet condition - they they line them up side by side so you can't even see the cabinet artwork!  /sigh

That being said, I think an all black cabinet is not the way to go.  Needs something to break it up a little.  Something as simple as colored t-molding usually is enough.

But that's just my opinion.  :)
