Software Scanlines filter for computer?
« on: August 25, 2013, 11:48:00 pm »
Hey, does anyone know if there's a software equivalent to being able to add scanlines to your display?

You know how there's emulators that have a software filter that allows you to add scanlines to the game's video? Well I'd like that... For everything I do on my desktop, games, whatever.

Here's the deal, I love how scanlines look and while playing castle crashers I realized it'd look even better with scanlines.

I know there's a little device that allows you to add scanlines, but they don't have them in HDMI form, which is what I use.

Any ideas?

Sorry, I already KNOW about the hardware and I am not paying almost $100.00 for it. I have a good enough processor where it shouldn't hamper it too much. I mean I can run TriDef 3D, which forced 3D emulation for games that weren't built for it and it runs great.

depending on the resolution you run, craftymech sells mini SLGs for around$25 shipped. I know you said software, but Ive bought 2 SLGs from him and they are great, the new ones even come with an on off switch.

If you're replying to a troll you are part of the problem.
I also need to follow this advice. Ignore or report, don't reply.

Doesn't Hyperspin have a scan line effect in the setup (HQ)!

Well if you read, I want to run standard PC games and the like with it. Does HyperSpin allow for that?
