  • I want to build my own arcade controls!
screen off center 60 in 1 board
« on: August 22, 2013, 09:38:40 am »
Hi Guys
need your help
started building a cab, i bought a dell e190s 19" lcd, seems to work find on my pc
i bought a 60 in 1 jamma board which has a dsub output and the display is off center, nothing i change on the monitor makes a difference, the horizontal adjustment will not change enough to make it center
i've tried my friend's 19" lcd screen which is older but the same spec , 1280 x 1024,60hz using a dsub input and it works fine.  its well strange, i tried an different vga lead no luck :(

any ideas if i can alter the signal in anyway from the jamma board or lcd internally to get it to line up?
many thanks

Malenko

swap LCDs with your friend?

try putting the 60 in 1 on the test screen (the one with the colorful checker pattern) then hit the auto alignment button on the monitor.

If you cannot center the test screen or normal screens on your LCD then there is a problem with your LCD.  Change it for another one.

This is based on the fact that it worked OK on your friends LCD.  This means the board is ok and your friends LCD is ok.

I know on some of those dells you can hit the auto correct...but there is another option in the menu screen that you have to change.....and for the life of me I cant remember....I can try when I get home
