having jamma problems
« on: August 21, 2013, 12:00:23 am »
hi guys, im having a problem, which from searching the net ive seen is common but im still kinda confused on the solution to fix it

i have a street fighter 2 cab that i just installed a pandoras box in.  now it turns on but i have no controlls or sound, after reading through it seems to be a ground issue as the pandora uses different spot for grounds than the street fighter.

on one website a guy make some sort of adaptor but im not really sure how it hooks to the PCB? *and ofcourse no help from the dude who made it or anyone on the site*

here is a picture

can anyone help me out here?

this PCB use custom pinout e and 27 is 6 button
originaly jamma pin "e" and "27" is GND for buttons but theoretically is only output
some cab like Egret and other japan candy cab not use a common ground and you need this pin for panel (video and audio too?).
if your cab have old jamma wirring disable GND on pin e and 27 (unpin or desolder)

make foto your jamma conncector

pandora have mono audio + and -  for passive speakers
You dont need GND.

check if your cab have amplifier (active) and stereo speakers,
for CPS2 better option is active speakers and sound is connected to RCA on board
sound passive mono is not conncted to jamma
